Utah - State of Confusion
These days, around 40% of Americans support Bush.
However, in Utah, Bush still enjoys a 58% approval rating! (the highest in the country)
Why?
Maybe because they're being lied to by their leaders.

Nate: Back it up, buddy. Where did you get that little factoid?
I discovered my little factoid on http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollTrack.aspx?g=5f835385-6d62-401f-9fba-e9febd469ac0&x=382,2
Sorry for the lack of hat tip. It's from the link that Abe provided that showed Utah had the highest Bush approval rating. Fascinating stuff.
Sorry for flooding the comment section with useless statistics BUT I found it interesting that among college graduates in the Big Sky State, Bush's approval rating did a 180 from last month and jumped 15% up to 56%. http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollTrack.aspx?g=5f835385-6d62-401f-9fba-e9febd469ac0&x=384,2
More fascinating stuff. What could cause a jump of 15% in a month?
Nate -- what caused the jump? Stress of finals, probably. Those crazy kids just aren't in their right minds.
Those numbers were among college grads ,not from kids still taking finals. It's also interesting that adults with NO college education have lower Bush approval ratings than the learned college grads. All of these stats can be found in and around the same links already posted.
Who cares, did you guys expect Montana to act rationally? You think the unabomber would have polled for Bush? Just effing around, but shouldn't we expect Bush's approval ratings to go up? Where else could they go?
Down.
Hey, Hannah. I didn't mean their religious leaders. I meant their political leaders: i.e. Hatch.
Hannah -- very well stated. I learned something today. Thanks.
