Update on Texas House Race District 48
Texas Governor and Lt. Governor Dewhurst set a runoff date of February 14 for this open seat. Good thing the special election was not held in December, the GOP would have set the runoff for Christmas Day. What a bunch of bums trying to stifle voter turnout by scheduling the runoff for Valentine's Day.

I never knew Valentine's day was such a huge holiday in Texas. I mean, here in Montana, I don't think anyone stops and thinks... I don't have time to go vote, I have to get these chocolates home. Valentines day... Christmas day... two very different holidays. What a stupid post. I wish it was the way you portrayed it, I would have loved to get school off on Wednesday February 14th.
Nateusmoore, as a reasonable human being, which I am sure you claim to be, you have to admit that many folks getting out of work at 5 or 6 will have vday plans and will not either 1. have time to vote or 2. remember to vote. This is called, come on say it with me, stifling the vote. A traditional practice by the GOP when they are not stuffing ballot boxes.
