STR8 TOK

Unless, the Democrats can come up with someone I can get excited about in 2008 (and Hillary isn't doing it for me, folks), I'd consider voting for McCain.

But he's losing me with b.s. like this.

I'm not excited about anyone on either side of the aisle. If Democrats nominate Hillary, ANY Republican would win short of Tom Delay. Looks like we'll be left with a choice between the lesser of two evils again though. They all suck. Term limits please!

Call me crazy, which you likely will, but I think Hillary can win. I did not think this until a few weeks ago. Here is why:
1. She is a good campaigner and politician which is necessary to win. You can have credentials like experience making sound policy, combat experience and lifelong public service and get beat just like Kerry if you cannot put forth a coherent message and appeal to the country folks. Whether Sen. Clinton appeals to country folks like her husband is questionable. Bill had that appeal because of his upbringing in Arkansas. Hillary now serves NY that could prove to be a huge problem. We definitely do not want another east coaster like Kerry. You just can't win there these days. Maybe Hillary can, like W., portray roots with the common American. At least she would be rather truthful.

2. Hillary is tough and has the unique experience of presidential campaigns without being defeated. The Repub candidate is yet to be determined, but it will be difficult for them to find a common man image W. Bush brilliantly used.

3. Hillary also is greatly experienced in the presidency itself which is a plus at a time of war. You want someone there who has seen firsthand the inner workings of waging war(a successful one).

Who knows, I wish Hillary would have gone back to the south to run for senate, she would clearly win in that case, for now I think people will attempt to paint her as bitchy and liberal. The bitchy thing is appealing to dumb America(those who vote based on "i like that person" as opposed to policy and competency) because bigots see a strong assertive woman as out of her place. This characterization has already began and will be the GOPs main strategy. Remember this is campaigning strategy not the best thing for the country.

Have Lurch Kerry and Al Gore stand on either side of her and she'll shine like a new penny!
