Mugsy's Mugshot
Looks like he's campaigning from the jailhouse, doesn't it? Maybe he's the next Traficant.
In 2002, Traficant was indicted and tried on federal corruption charges for taking campaign funds for personal use
After his expulsion, Traficant ran as an independent candidate for another term in the House while incarcerated in a federal prison in White Deer, Pennsylvania. He received 15 percent of the vote (27,487 votes) and became one of only a handful of individuals in the history of the United States to run for a federal office from prison.
WELL BEAM ME UP, MR. SPEAKER!!
Update: Some speculate that the Beaming Speaker has been under the knife. HT Sully.

Here is a great piece on Delay by Garrison Keillor: http://www.startribune.com/stories/562/5669987.html
An excerpt: "I am disappointed by your attempts to beautify yourself. It's pitiful, sir, and demeaning to blow-dry your hair and try to project warmth through those drill-sergeant eyes and belt-sander voice. You're the man, sir, who redrew the map of Texas to squeeze more Republican congressmen out of it, and got Indian tribes to pay for you and yours to fly to Scotland first-class and play golf, and who paid his wife as a consultant, etc."
For my part, the sooner Delay leaves the House for the Big House, the better off the country will be.

Disappointed that it doesn't look like a "mug shot"? Many screaming lefties are. They were going to have fun with it if he looked sad or beaten. You libs didn't get what you wanted, did you? I don't know if he is guilty or innocent. If guilty, he should pay. If he's not guilty, I won't wait around to see any apologies at this site. His adventures with campaign money aren't unique. Democrats do many of the same things. Where is your zeal for indictments of them?
Rock, you're engaging in wild speculation. Accusing me of being disappointed because DeLay doesn't look sad? Sorry, but that's just weird. I think the mugshot is funny becuase no matter how you cut it, it's a frickin mugshot, buddy.
I think DeLay is generally a plague on politics. Whether he is guilty of what is alleged in the indictment, I have no idea. But strong-arm tactics to push votes your way and catering to big corporations is just stuff i'm fundamentally against.
I didn't accuse you of anything Abe. I asked if you were disappointed. Many on your side of the aisle were. Please note the ? at the end of the first sentence- denoting an inquiry. You don't know if he's guilty in one statement, but have him campaigning from the jailhouse in another. Sounds like you've already judged him to me. Also note that I have not defended him. I'll wait to see what the evidence is. You should try that some time.
