Just a Few Facts to Be Aware Of...

(1) Gas prices are higher than I've seen them since I started buying gas.

(2) Last year, Exxon made more money than any other company. Ever.

(3) Oil companies have made $450 million in political contributions over the past six years.

(4) Republican leadership just strong-armed a bill through Congress (vote held open, no public hearings, final version of bill not released until day of vote, etc.) which allows oil companies to skirt environmental requirements when building new refineries.

When the people do not hold elected officials accountable for corruption, we fail to preserve democracy. When will Americans begin to see that it is not about your particular party gaining more and more power?

not to take a side one way or the other, but stating that the majority is failing to "hold elected officials accountable" is a point of view expressed by someone who is in the minority made, as is evidenced by your comments, w/o any argument as to how or why the majority is in the wrong.
