Americans to Bush: You're an Unpopular Liar
Well, our countrymen are finally coming around.
Here's what I can't figure out:
52% of Americans believe the Bush Administration “intentionally misled the American public” in making its case for war in Iraq; but only
51% of Americans disapprove of Bush's job performance.
So 1% of Americans approve of Bush misleading the country in order to convince us to support this tragic mistake of a war??

The funny thing is that over half of America supported him enough to make him our president... for 8 years. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

Nate, you can't just re-post as "Anonymous" and say you owned somebody. That's weak.
In any event, Nate, you're wrong. Over half of America did not vote for Bush in 2000 (when Gore actually got MORE VOTES than Bush - come on, you should know that).
In 2004, Bush got 51% of the popular vote and was narrowly re-elected.
Note that in 1972 Nixon was re-elected president by a landslide, garnering over 60% of the popular vote. It was only when his unethical and illegal behavior was fully exposed that the public turned on him. I suppose there were some idiots in 1974 crowing about how popular Nixon was in 1972, but it's hard to imagine that anyone gave much of a shit at that point.
Note: based on some reactions to the Deep Throat unveiling, there seems to be many revisionists out there that continue to believe that Nixon was a fine president and more a victim in Watergate.
I just wanted to say that I did not repost as anonymous. I work outside with no internet access from 5 AM - 3 PM. Just clearing up that I did not repost to my post. Come on Abe, you know I wouldn't be that weak.
I do admit that I forgot about the 2000 election and I apologize for my incorrect posting. Abe, thank you for clearing things up and I am truly sorry. In any event, Bush and the Republicans keep owning you lefty effers.
So you're going to make a point of Bush not getting over 50% of the votes in 2000? Tell me this. Did Clinton EVER get over 50%? I'll give you a clue- no, he didn't.
