Swift Vote Veterans For Bush
If you haven't seen the latest attack ad against Kerry, you ought to check it out. It is ugly.
The ad is clearly dishonest and dishonorable and a cheap stunt. None of these individuals served on the boat Kerry commanded. Kerry's actual crew has testified to his courage under fire. So says Bush supporter and war hero John McCain, who called on the White House to condemn the dishonorable and cheap ad.
The White House declined.
So who is behind this smear campaign? Take a peek.

I'm not pro-Bush nor pro-Kerry (lucky for me I don't have to decide for 3 more months), but I think it is only reasonable to hold both Kerry and Bush to the same standards.
1. It's not true that NONE of the swift boat vets served with Kerry -- Steve Gardner served as a machine gunner on Kerry’s boat.
2. Kerry's whole crew hasn't testified to his courage, only two of Kerry's “band of brothers” served on his boat.
3. Kerry has repeatedly told the heart-wrenching tale of how he spent Christmas in Cambodia --- which is clearly a fabrication.
If we are going to accuse Bush of lying when acting upon intelligence that was widely believed by every other intelligence agency in the world -- we need to at least hold Kerry to the same truth-telling standards.
I would agree with you that the attack against Kerry is ugly -- but it is ugly because of the politics behind it and because politics is an ugly business -- not because the attack itself is entirely dishonest.
