Read Kaplan today. Seriously, read it.
If today's investigative shockers—Seymour Hersh's latest article in The New Yorker and a three-part piece in Newsweek—are true, it's hard to avoid concluding that responsibility for the Abu Ghraib atrocities goes straight to the top, both in the Pentagon and the White House, and that varying degrees of blame can be ascribed to officials up and down the chain of command.
Only the tip of the iceberg....

A smoking gun? Absurd. One bomb that has allegedly tested positive for some amount of sarin somehow validates the STOCKPILES OF WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION that Bush so feverishly warned about? Sorry, but that stinks of desparation. Also, because the President's Administration has purposefully used Iraq as a sort of flypaper to attract fighters from across the Arab world, who is to say these fighters aren't bringing biological weapons with them across the borders?
